Roman Villa “El Ruedo”

Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, it dates from the 1st to 7th centuries AD and has one of the most complete surfaces of the existing ones in the Iberian Peninsula.

It emphasizes the monumentality of the elevations of its walls and the richness of its architectural elements such as mosaics, pavements, paintings … and also the set of sculptures that appeared in it and that can be seen in the Historical-Archaeological Museum.

It clearly distinguishes two areas: the “Urban Pars”, corresponds to the residence of the owners, with all kinds of luxuries and the productive area “Pars Rustica” destined to   agricultural dependencies.

As a complement to this visit you can see the audiovisual “La Semilla de los Sueños”, a 3D projection on Villa Romana.

The duration of the guided tour is approximately 45 minutes.
