Museum of Sacred Art – Church of Santa Cruz
The museum houses a large collection of 16th to 18th centuries silverware (vessels, chalices and cups, portapaces, buckets, bells, crosses, monstrances, platters, altars, as well as cloths, canopies, paintings, sculptures, lecterns, furniture or cornucopias). We must highlight a Namban “Shokendai”-art lectern made in Japan’s Momoyama period in 1573, as well as a rich tower ostensorium in gilded silver by Francisco de Alfaro Hernández (Seville, 1586).
