Brief overview:

The Museum of Osuna is a service available to society as a place of learning for the local population to discover their identity, assume it and contemplate the past, the present and the future with an open perspective. At the same time, it is available to all foreign visitors as an undoubted tourist attraction resource. For this, we have temporary exhibition rooms and permanent exhibition rooms.

The museum is located in the Palacio of Los Hermanos Arjona y Cubas, a building of the 18th century, which housed the Local Agrarian Chamber for most of the last century. The visit begins in the wine cellar of the palace-house, where we can find a series of large earthenware jars that were used to keep wine, oil and food such as meat and fish. Following the visit, we will enjoy the following temporary rooms on the ground floor next to the two permanent exhibition rooms: the collection by Rodríguez Jaldón and the collection by Rodolfo Álvarez Santaló. Going up to the first floor, we will find: holdings of the municipal archive, Nobility and Power, old photography studio of the Ruiz Family, holdings of the former University, utensils of the old Ledesma printer, as well as the furniture of a curious local business: the hat shop “El Bombo”.
